Goods and Services Tax (GST) was introduced by the Prime Minister of India and remove all central or state Government executed indirect taxes on goods and services by starting Online GST registration in India.
According to the new GST or Goods and Services Tax registration regulation, businesses whose turnover more than Rs. 20 lakhs and 10 Lakhs for hill and North East states is compulsory to get their GST registration as a common taxable person.

What is Online GST Registration Procedure in India?

Log on to www.gst.gov.in and Click on the Service which is available at the top of the page and select on Registration from the four options  Registration, Payments ,User Service and refund and  then Select New Registration.
Fill in the details and all the field are mandatory to fill.
Fill the details like location of the business, legal name of the business (As mentioned in PAN), Permanent Account Number (PAN) of your business account, email address, Mobile Number and then Type the characters you see in the image below then proceed.  GST form Part A will include all this conditions.
The details will be verified by the portal through a one-time password and email confirmation.
Submit the required documents. Documents required for New GST registration in India are given below
PAN card,
Identity proof and address proof like Pan Card, Aadhar Card, and Driving License.
Proof of registration of business and registration certificates, Address proof for the location of business like PAN Card, Electricity bill, Aadhar Card, phone bill etc.
Business Bank statement and Rent agreement in case of property purchase on rent or lease.

Submit Part B of the form

After completing the part A you will get an APPLICATION Reference Number via Text Message or email to confirm the successful completion of forms.
You will get an OTP on the mobile number and email ID you just provided. Offer the OTP on the next screen for verification.
You will get a Temporary Reference Number (TRN) via SMS messages and e- mail and keep it handy, then go back to the www.gst.gov.in and click on TRN this time. Fill the TRN received captcha code before clicking on Proceed.
Again complete the OTP verification as in step 3.
After filling all the details go to the Verification page and tick the declaration and submit your application. This process can be done by three different ways, such as via submitting DSC, Via OTP to the Aadhaar-registered number and Via OTP sent to the registered mobile number.
Finally, submit form and get message will be displayed. This is your application reference number or your registered mobile number or e-mail id.
You will get the GSTIN certificate within a 10-12 working days of submitting the application.
